Unlike typical dermal fillers, a new influx of a Skin Rejuvenation injectables, including, Profhilo® and Teoxane Redensity 1, that are showing promising results. these treatments tend to focus on improving hydration and condition as opposed to volume. Such Injectable moisture treatments are made of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural component of human skin. Hyaluronic acid is a water binding molecule that can hold 10,000 times its weight in water, hence, its unique ability to promote hydration.
Hyaluronic acid is made up of long chains that draws and holds water. In dermal fillers the water clumps together and stays put where it’s injected to create volume. With injectable moisturiser treatments, the hyaluronic acid works to spread evenly throughout the face to draw water -ultimately stimulating hydration of the skin without unnecessary volume.
Profhilo is currently the most popular injectable hydration treatment used to treat a Skin Rejuvenation by stimulating bio elasticity. This followed closely by Teoxane Redensity 1 skin booster.
How Profhilo and Teoxane Redensity 1 differ to Juvederm’s Voilte Volite has lower levels of hyaluronic acid than Profhilo and Teoxane Redensity 1. It also does not contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants or amino acids.
Volite can be used throughout the face and will hydrate the skin and improve fine lines. Profhilo is currently used on the lower part of the face for skin laxity, and can also be used on the neck. Whereas Teoxane Redensity 1 can also be used all over the face as a full hydration treatment. All three can be used for the hands and body (such as the chest area).
Volite requires just one treatment, while Profhilo requires two treatments and Teoxane Redensity 1 treatments.
Redensity 1 has pure hyaluronic acid with the added benefit of antioxidants, potent amino acids, minerals and vitamins - it repairs the skin while hydrating it. Redensity 1 skin booster works to hydrate the skin but will prevent premature skin ageing, whilst giving a beautiful healthy glow. Profhilo is pure high concentrated hyaluronic acid treatment which works in bio-remodelling collagen and elastin i’m at the same time as providing high levels of hydrating for the skin. Profhilo is a potent anti-ageing treatment, but something additional to this is recommended to treat the forehead.
How to decide which treatment is right for you
For younger skin wanting to improve skin health, hydration, protection and to improve radiant glow Teoxane Redensity 1Skin booster is a good option. Profhilo is more popular with the slightly older age group as it gives beautiful hydration to the skin, softens fine lines and gives a 'hydrolift'.
